Can’t believe I just sat for 48 minutes and watched a feller, fellette and their little humans clean up and reorganise a shed, but I have to, I saw it, well done.
Well, you're not alone or the only one doing it. Big fan of VGG, but the Lodge, I just can't explain why this has such an appeal. Maybe it's the family working together, the somewhat behind the scenes, anyway huge fan of these episodes.
I feel privileged to be able to watch this channel and your business grow over the years into what it is and to see you reep the benefits of hard work and dedication to your craft. You guys deserve every bit of it. Not only does this content entertain but informs and educates in a way that should spark the diy'er in all of us to get out and get that project done and or even started. Cheers to you and the family and supporters of the channel and business. Can a guy get some more motorcycle content, ya know like when you churched up the street glide all them years ago!
I find myself asking myself, "self, why do you find it interesting and entertaining to watch just about anything this guy and his family do?" I don't know but there has to be a medical term for it. Anyway, thanks Derek. Mad respect and appreciation for the love, service to others. I don't know, what I'm trying to say. Maybe your continued example will encourage me and others to be better human beings.
I've been watching since back in the day, and it's hard to describe how much I've enjoyed your channel(s). Watching you and your family grow and evolve has been such a joy. Nothing I can type here will be new or unique, you've heard it all before, but you make a man proud.
Super family project. The boys got in there and moved a considerable amount of stuff. Jessica sure was moving through there like she was jet propelled. Just a total family effort. Must make a man proud of his family. Stay safe and tell your family how much you appreciate their efforts.
There was something just therapeutic about watching this and the fact that I didn’t have to move all that myself 😂 Love seeing the success from what seems to be one down to earth guy that is full of passion and dedication.
While I watched this, I was thinking of the very beginnings of a feller working out of his attached garage in Minnesota. It is absolutely awesome to see how far a feller has come since then! I hope for nothing but continued success!
Great comment, it's a bit mad but I feel real pride in seeing how far Derek, Jessica and the boys have came over the last few years. The kind of pride you feel when a family member does well, you know the whole family have worked non stop and deserve all the rewards and many more to come.
Loving the videos and they are getting me through a tough time at the moment also there are inspiring so many people to better there life's including mine thank you for the wonderful content
Man, I remember the pain of doing this sort of re-arranging. With the added disadvantages of: a) having a lot more stuff to move, and b) having to move it all into storage so we could knock down/move the old sheds in order to gain enough space to build the New Big Shed (which isn't big enough!). Still, I grant you it is very satisfying when the job is finished. And it's a truckload easier to actually achieve progress on a job now!
You know when I first started watching vise grip garage I told myself why doesn’t this guy have his own TV show and now I saw your new show the other night. I’m glad your growing and making it happen congratulations on road worthy rescues show👍👍 .
Looks really good. I'm sincerely happy for you and yours. Enjoy your content on both channels. Can't wait to see what you can churn out on the new machine. Lots of space and opportunity. Lots of work to get where you are.
Keep up the awesome work VGG family! Glad to see the progress of improvements over the years and can't wait to see whats coming next. Personally I can't wait to see more of the GNX. As a gbody owner myself (85 monte ss) it makes me super excited to see a gbody on the channel
Shop looks awesome! I can totally see that nuts and bolts bin set up, saving all kinds of time and money. I'd love to see a build series on the stock car! I know it's not the normal content, but it would be super cool!
Derek, you’re one of the richest men I know of. And I’m not talking about folding money or man toys. That’s one awesome family you’ve built and in turn have helped you build something special in Vice Grip…
What a great video, just cold starting all those cars was cool. It was wonderful how everyone pitched in and got all that done in a short amount of time. The place looks great and will definitely pay off for you. Hope you all have a great holiday season!
Hey! I found the radiator support you needed on Independence, or perhaps the crew cab, you used it for a hood prop on vanishing paint! Love the channel!
I’ve been a subscriber of yours since the very very beginning. I think I’m one of your first 50, actually. With that said, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Please make a fleet cold start video like this OFTEN. Totally unedited and show us what you do with the gas pedal and all the controls and whatnot of everything you have. That was sooooo cool. Thank you again. You are the absolute best, Derek and deserve every ounce of success you’ve gotten.
It's a huge undertaking for sure and it needs to happen in the garage here too. For the yellow NASCAR project my thoughts are to have it on the Vice Grip Garage channel, and have your kiddos help with getting it running again. I know for safety reasons you'll do the gasoline, etc, but what if they told you what to check for next? It'd be a fun and learning experience. 😃
I just bought my first house, with out even knowing it Derek has helped me turn my life around, being able to watch him each week and see what he's created for himself his family and us supporters has giving me such inspiration to reach my goals, next up is getting a shop built! Your shop is a dream by far!
So awesome to see the shop and remember the "days of old" where your shop was an hour from your house. Congrats to Derek, Jessica and the three Bs for their progress!
Team work makes the dream work! Great to see the whole family helping out! Great job guys, lookin fantastic! That cnc machine is freakin awesome Derek! I bet you'll have some fun with that bad boy!!! Happy holidays to ya'll!!!
New garage looks awesome! Great to see the whole family working together! I noticed the 454 on a engine stand from the Independence Chevelle. Must have missed a episode, what do you have in it now? Keep up the good work & the videos are great!!
Congratulations on have too much stuff! I remember not having a shop 5 years ago, doing all the work under a car port. And now I go into my shop and I literally thank God for having more projects and junk than I have time.
Interesting video. Somewhat amazing how this reorganization was organized. Starting with trying to get those old cars moving? Personally I would have started with building the shelves, so you could move all that miscellaneous crap out of the way. Sure would have made moving the bigger stuff around a lot easier.
Shop looks GREAT! Having your own hardware supply will save you gobs of time and money. Nice to see the shelving units to get stuff off the floor. If you need more space you can add a second floor on the top of first floor units as long as they can support the weight. Good Job! 😁
Loved this episode! Leave the stickers. They're part of the car's story now. Add your own stickers too over time. It's all part of that cars life and story!
@James Crowley Maybe wireless charging pads, you park your cars on, you know like the wireless charging docks and pads for your cell phones, they need that for vehicles HAHA!!!
@Mike Parker he's got a shelf organizer perfect for that! Just take them out of the vehicles and toss them on a trickle charging system. Saves money from having dead batteries in cars.
Great job done by the family unit! Well done to each and every one of you. I personally think that the beautiful old cars should be washed and cleaned up inside and out then have blankets thrown over them to keep the dirt and dust off them and protect them.
Love all the content on both pages! We love the on site revivals! Do You happen to have a cold air intake for a 6.0 LS laying around? Ide love to buy it off ya with a VGG sticker on it
Thanks for taking me through your collection. Most of that stuff is pure Derrick. But I'm still trying to figure out how those Ford A's got your notice. Great cars that I'd like to see more of on VGG channel if you can squeeze them in. That NASCAR rig would be popular on VGG even if you just poured a bucket of soapy water over the roof!
Greg from northern Michigan. On your JD tractor, a higher engine speed will give you better loader arm / fork raise, lowering, and leveling control operation. You might also want to consider buying some used pallet racking. I did and the 15.5 ft high racking with 9 x 4 wide adjustable shelves really frees up floor space. Plus there rated at 5000 pound distributed load per shelf. Nice family and great video !
Thank you for taking the time to make the great content across multiple platforms you do. It reminds me of being young again and having the routine every weekend watching car shows with my dad. Now I get to enjoy Friday nights with my son watching car shows.
Thanks a lot I just sat and watched you do what I needed to do for 6 yrs , the whole time just going through buckets of nut's and bolts , washers, cotter pins . I now have about everything sorted out , so I never have to buy another piece of hard wear again ever . Now I just need to do the plumbing and electrical . I though once retired I would get rid of the stuff but at the way prices keep going up I will keep it all. . Them bolt bins are nice but get full of dirt , dust putting some plastic vapor barrier on the back ,curtain the front helps a lot .
Watching you, Jessica and the boys working together takes me back to a hundred different episodes where I watched you guys do things that few get to enjoy. This channel makes memories, and that's a good thing.
Love the shop! As far the Challenger, you need to make it your own. It still needs tons of work and love. You could make a 10 part series on this car alone and everyone would love it. Does no good to have a car like that that you can’t drive. Keep up the great episodes and we will keep supporting you !
Nice work on the shop clean up. Looks really good. Appears from your bolt selection you don't work on enough newer stuff to see a need for many metric fasteners.😁 If I ordered that NutsandBolts setup I would have mostly metric fasteners in it.
I love how random the ceiling fans get in the shop when you run the time-lapse sequences. As always Derek and family, you guys always put on a good show for the entire family. Thank you from mine to yours.
hello fan ❤👆👆 Thanks for watching and commenting much love. ❤ Send me a message above I've a package for you, I'm sending this reply to everyone. 🎁🎁🎁🎁...
Looks great and almost all organized lol.boy wat alot of work that was lol..that bolt rack is amazing good idea on that..really organized and handy..can find a bolt easily..love ur crew good day
Dang, dude! You're getting to the point that you might have to start thinking about hiring some help! LOL. Just keeping your fasteners ordered and stocked, the floors swept, the trash taken out, and the fridge supplied with wobble pops is a part time job in itself!
It's a great feeling being organized i work on stuff my self when i pull stuff down I leave it near my project till i get it back together because if I move it I'll never find it or remember to put it back on so when i finish everything goes back to where it comes from like socket and that 10mm that hiding in plan site. 😂
Man, you are living the dream Derek! I'm happy to see your success! It's very much deserved! What you're doing is truly inspirational. I dream that one day I'll have something akin to what you and your family have. You and your family make wonderful content! The best car show on the interwebs I tell ya! The shop is looking fantastic! I cant wait to see what's in store for the future of Vice Grip Garage/Lodge. Cheers brother! 🍻🤘😎
I enjoy watching the progression of your "grip" channels! It's like back in the day watching "American chopper" and their progression as they grew and grew! Minus the yelling, drama, and hopefully their ultimate fate. 😀
That's awesome brother !! I run a 10"x49' plasma table up here in Northern Ontario Canada. The boys will have fun making thier parts for thier Channel!! Love the vibe Derek and family!...just an FYI...lots of people watch your channel up here. I bought a hat and get lots of comments of how they love your channels!!
Derrick… you know what Budd?… Fair play to you Fella! This is an absolutely smashing workshop, and I am absolutely mind blown how you are just one guy… one dream… one motive! I absolutely am gutted I have missed out on so much, but I am just glad I can have the opportunity to catch up. You are one hell of a guy, and I think we all appreciate everything you do here. How you have not got over a million subs already is baffling! Anyways… To you and all of your Friends, Family, and Team VGG/VGL… Stay Safe!… Stay Well!… Stay Positive! Stewart.
Nice shop setup you got going now. Cant wait to see the next project about to come along including when you are fully dialed into your new machine to cut out new parts with it.
great content glad to see you are getting your work space better organized. When I built my shop I thought Thats a bunch of room now it so full I can barely walk through it. I think I need to do what you did, organize it.Thanks for sharing
Derek, I just became a VGG member and after watching this it’s already paying off. My wife has been reminding me lately that our 3-car garage/workshop/workbench/junk depot is due for a clean up and re-org. But your massive project has inspired me! I’m no longer dreading it, instead I can’t wait to get started it’s gonna be so fun……nope…it’s still gonna be a pain…hate it… Love all the stuff on VGG, VGL and LGG too!
Hello Derek, please make sure you make things so if in case you want to rearrange the shop later consider to be prepared for that. Meaning to put shelves and other things that might secure to the floor to keep them as a temporary mounting; that way it’s easier to rearrange things when you want to make adjustments as you see fit. Besides your videos are excellent and please be safe while moving things around in the shop.
Just a suggestion but, I'm sure its way after the fact. You could spread out your foot print on your shelving unit by not having 2 end pieces/uprights butted up to each other. Take some or half of your horizontal shelf pieces and put them between the extra uprights you will gain. This will make it necessary to increase the spacing between the shelves, but you could arrange them so you have some areas for bigger boxes etc.
Never thought I would be so locked in to watching a guy rearrange his garage, but your stuff is way cool to look at, even if you are just moving it around. When the whole family got going, it looked like an ant farm at work.
As alway's a hugely enjoyed episode. gotta have a somewhat clean and organized multi bay garage to work in and store your vehicles and related tools, parts and related fasteners and nuts and bolt's. My dream garage! So many cool auto's and trucks under one roof!!!! Great help from the team!,, the wife and son's! Keep the shows comin please...
Derek, get an excel spread sheet or access database of those nuts and bolts unless it came with it's own software. It should include everything on the unit and the amounts. When you use it, enter it and have it setup to let you know you are getting low on a certain item. Much easier to keep your supplies in stock and ready when needed. Also, very easy to setup on a computer!! Looks real good in there now!!
Vanishing Paint! Keep (most of) the existing stickers, add your own when you do events with it, etc. Love the sound of that car. And a fella's lucky to have a full on, hands on partner like Jessica. Maybe you'll get her to taste the oil someday. I don't know.
Man I love that Buick. I mean their all amazing but 😳 I don't think you have a running car that doesn't sound like it's ready to rip trees out of the ground 👌
