Surprised you didn't mention the episode "Ugh" where Patchy is shown to be filming his part of the show in prehistoric times. And while at first it seems to be just a low-budget film set, the T-Rex at the end is treated as real. Perhaps Patchy already had the ability to time travel when alive?
The closest we ever got to spongebob acknowledging patchy before the animation was him getting the strangest feeling that a pirate and parrot were arguing about him
I'm convinced that Alex is in some way connected with the shows creators, especially since the original creator died, this totally seems like something the show would do. This theory is by far the most farfetched seeming, but by the end he manages to completely tie everything together as well as relate past theories. I wonder if the side story is somehow symbolic of his cooperation with the SpongeBob creators. His muse representing the SpongeBob company, giving him his information, with the final goal being him helping the viewers remember the show and its various spinoffs and forms of media along with giving the show a new angle of continuity and depth.
The fact this guy sneaks his great filmmaking skills into each theory after people called him out for making bad horror films just shows how adaptive and creative he can be. Respect.

I feel like this is a super elaborate setup to open the door to theorycrafting another show as well, and if that's the case then I'm absolutely 100% on board with it. The horror B plot has me hooked and I want to see where this is going.

26:32 I remember watching this episode, I thought that was some sort of explanation of to why patchy is well.. headless, I thought they somehow switched bodies and were dancing to the theme, but thinking about it as a dark metaphor, kinda makes me never look at that scene the same again
You know, something I think that should be considered is that maybe the whole show is out of order and non-chronological, after all there are times where characters’ relationships with each other tend to be inconsistent, such as how well Spongebob and Larry know each other, or how fed up Ms. Puff is with Spongebob
I love how cartoon logic, manifested through evidence such as "Patchy was here" and that one instance the ghost time traveled, makes outlandish theories like this one actually sound reasonable.

Even if Patchy was missing his eye and hand, The Flying Dutchman is a ghost. If he's Patchy, all of his biological injuries would be "healed." The Flying Dutchman's voice keeps reminding me of Duckman and to a lesser extent Groundhog Day.

13:10 Yes the Flying the Dutchman was never put to rest and he claims that he was buried but let’s think about that. When the Dutchman says he was buried, I don’t think he was talking about a proper burial or anything like that, but the day he died where he smothered to death in the sand. So the Flying Dutchman was never put to rest since he died on a deserted island and his body was never found and his body was washed over by the sand where he was “buried”.
I'm looking forward to this bc the Dutchman's backstory has some weird continuity issues. He's a pirate, we all know that, but in ‘Your Shoe's Untied’, he says he hasn't tied a shoe in over 5000 years. Ntm in Squidward The Unfriendly Ghost, there's a comic book about his backstory explaining that his body was used as a mannequin. (Sorry for the long comment but this has been BOTHERING me)

That's what this theory series is for; you're practicing film-making techniques in exposition, immersion and fear, and you're succeeding at it. But you don't have to push yourself to make these theories, be it for popularity, your arg or your practicing of techniques. If you're tired of the theories, take a break if necessary.

They're speaking about the series itself- except about the patchy drowning part from this theory, which was terrifying, I agree- and why it was made/what it is saying about creative expression/etc. And they're reaching out to let the creator know that if he needs a break, he's supported in doing so, and also that his work is acknowledged and appreciated. Or at least that is my interpretation, based partially on my feelings after watching the film/arg parts of this (worry, concern).

I think the muses repopulate by infecting someone, just like one did to Alex. Alex went on a huge eating frenzy and even ate raw meat, just like the muses do, as if he was feeding one. I think that when infected, a person is under some sort of mild mind control that gives them the urge to feed the muse inside them and seek someone to give the new muse to. Another reason I think that the muse uses mind control is because it spoke through Alex to Wesley just before it left his body.
I thought HE was turning into the muse for a second, it would be disturbing to see him just to combust into shadow like he's nico di angelo. (haha obscure reference)

Okay I think I get it now, Alex doesn't understand how the muse works, allowing it to manipulate him. But this only goes so far as he's clearly not happy killing animals for it. The Cynical Critic has a muse too, which forced him to destroy things he loves. An allegory for this would be his scathing review of the Dark Knight, a movie which its shown he previously loved. Something he loved that he was forced to destroy, just for the attention of others. There was something about his mother too, maybe he did something to his mother that was a plot point. Edit: Since finishing the video i've concluded that the muse is an alien creature intent on spreading itself to willing human hosts through mental inspiration. Maybe Happy Meat Farms is in there too I dunno
OBJECTION! I gotta give it to you Alex, your theory seems to be water proof. But there is one inconsistencie. If Patchy watched Spongebob prior to death, shouldn't he know who Mr. Krabs is even before interacting with any of the characters in-person? I mean surely a super fan such as himself would know who one of the main cast is.
As crazy as the flying dutchman's backstory is, I have seen the flying dutchman wearing shoes, before. In Squidward The Unfriendly Ghost, SpongeBob and Patrick find an old magazine saying, when the flying dutchman died, his body was used as a window display, and if we look at his feet, we can see him clearly wearing shoes. Maybe this is what the flying dutchman was talking about when he said he hasn't worn shoes in 5000 years. He must've meant since he's dead, he has no use for shoes, anymore.
This is the second time Alex has ended the 8th episode of his web series with a surprise twist involving a character who shouldn't be there saying "Well done".
I thought this one was going to be dumb, but you really sold me on this narrative of Patchy. These theories work not because they're likely, but because they create stories that are so compelling and interesting that you WANT them to be true.

Hey Alex, I know you’re done with the theory part of the ARG. I was wondering, how many more videos for this ARG will be on this channel and have you finished making content on other channels. Also, will other characters, such as mark, Carl, Antonio, etc be on this channel for this ARG.
Fun fact, the eyepatch that pirates and sailors wore, wasn't to cover missing or injured eyes, it was so that one eye was always adjusted to the darkness for when they were under the deck.
The dark aspects of these theories (Krabs killing Pearl's mother and capitalizing off her corpse, Goofy Goobers being an alien eath cult, Potty and Patchy suffocating to death in the sand) are all a result of them being made by the Muse.

I am painting “The Fly of Despair” from Shanghaied’s episode, where Squidward gets throw in it by The Flying Dutchman, and I’ve noticed how WEIRD it is. Can you please do some sort of theory on Squidward’s house? You’ve touched on it’s sentience in your robot theory but I’ve always thought there was something else to it. There are plenty of instances of it showing signs of life. Perhaps squidward even knows something, he lives in the damn thing.

@sapnupuas I never said kids aren't watching SpongeBob, I'm saying they didn't grow up with early SpongeBob. Kids are still watching The Simpsons, but even my generation didn't grow up with the old Simpsons. You gotta acknowledge the difference between watching something fresh "at the time" vs watching the ReRuns and new episodes later in a shows life.

Alex Bale Theory: Alex and his story outside of the theories are actually all about robots that the creators of SpongeBob made. So when they were watching one of the theories, they didn’t see themselves. This is because the creators of SpongeBob post two versions. One for the robots to watch, and one for everyone else. Alex doesn’t know that he is being recorded. He thinks he is doing these videos for fun but actually he is being forced. And by the way one time Alex turned on his creator. He brutally murdered Stephen hillenburg.

And scientists have found out that people in your dreams (or voices of people) come from voices you’ve heard in real life. So Patrick, Sandy, Squidward and Mr. Krabs are all people in real life but just not in the right body. ALSO, the narrators voice is from another person he’s heard before. PLUS! The people who record it as a documentary and the recorders from the end of the television theory is spongebobs mind trying to wake up spongebob! Boom!! So… what ya think?
