What if the very fabric of space and time isn't made of one-dimensional strings or energy as we think of it, but instead was simply a code or a language made from a geometric projection?

Quantum Gravity Research is a Los Angeles based team of mathematicians and physicists working on developing a theoretical framework for a first-principles unified quantum gravity theory they call emergence theory. Still in the early stage of development, emergence theory attempts to unify, through mathematical and scientific rigor, the theory of relativity, quantum mechanics, and consciousness.

This film is presented in layperson terms and explains basics tenets of emergence theory, quantum mechanics and digital physics in ways that are meant to be communicative and fun. However, if you'd like to read any of the scientific and more technical papers, please visit our website.

Just downloaded this video so I can watch it whenever I start having deep thoughts. Consciousness emerges when we can process the time between two events in a non dream state. In a dream state we are decoupled from linear time and time is a highly non linear construct in this state.

The universe appeared to us as a well oiled machine during our industrial age and as magical during our pre enlightenment zeitgeist. Finally, time as I described it to my wife 17 years ago. I cried a little watching this because it's nice to hear this. This is how I 'feel'/think the universe is. So thank you for making this. Oh and that last bit... that's a cool. A bit "Childhood's End". Abstract question(s): is it easy to move your mouse away from you a little bit? What if you were across the room? How many possible ways could you do that? How precise could you be and how could you tell exactly how well you moved it? Generally speaking, would you expect that action and your perception of it to be easierif you were closer? I bet you can think of ways to move that mouse from the other side of the world with precision... Are those methods normal every day occurences? How often would they have to happen for us to learn to rely on them without thinking about them? What is a long way? Thanks for entertaining me :D

I love this video. I have been thinking about what reality is my whole life. I believe the answers can be found by investigating both Science and spirituality (not religion!). It's insane how much of this exact same stuff I saw and felt on my first DMT experience! From pixlelated reality, mirrored dimension and 0.168 to 4D QUASI CRYSTALS and past-present-future existing all the time at the same time! Unbelievably mind-blowing! Especially when (except for the golden ratio) I had no prior information about any of this beautiful madness even existed! The editing is brilliant, and it definitely makes people take interest in such esoteric topics of QM . A great work there . On the other hand Concepts like arrow of time and entropy were missing! Some of the parts were over simplified. Sure Diamond is carbon but at what temperature and pressure did carbon turn into diamond? And how we define diamonds if it’s always been carbon!

Great movie! Question: Rather than all time influencing itself, have you considered the inverse? There is a temporal flow from the future into the past, you are the now-point (∆t). The future is in a quantum state and brought into being with conscious decision (like you say in your movie). We look at time and space like we're a mouse in a cage - we move around inside it but that's it, we're an observer. But if we look at consciousness (which is only ever experienced in a "now" state) exactly as your movie states, but with that simple perspective change on time, you will see where the missing connections are. These include the agreement of quantum-state to thermodynamics (double-slit experiment solved), energy conservation, disperses the multiverse paradox created by the holographic universe idea (if the multiverse does exist, then consciousness is moot), and the 4th dimensional (Hibbert) space which uses consciousness as a pin to where "thoughts & dreams" exist and come from and even a scientifically plausible explanation for seemingly impossible feats (similar to flatland). Just try looking at it from this vantage point and see how simple it becomes

Humans are in control of how time flows since it's just our manifestations. When I first started getting interested in quantum physics; the first place I turned to was Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. What makes this verse particularly striking for me are the words ‘void’ and ‘darkness.’ Whilst some people may interpret that to mean nothingness… I interpreted it to mean unconsciousness and possible dark energy. As to the point where your future could shape you in the present… one could consider foresight a form of time travel. As an example your ability to protect yourself from short term pain; comes from your ability to visualise yourself in the future so that you can take your future prediction back to the present in an effort to protect yourself, or navigate around the short term pain. Alternatively one can also use foresight to use the present to prepare for the future. The more conscious or cognisant you are the more you’re able to anticipate and predict. Whilst you may me Bible to predict and anticipate through mental time travel it doesn’t guarantee 100% outcomes… because you haven’t yet observed them in real time until you’ve observed them in the present. Think of foresight as the light source in the double slit experiment; the outcome of foresight does not guarantee 100% outcomes as they spread out along the waves. Even though you visualised yourself in the future making changes; It’s not until you observe your prediction in the present that you see if you’re right or wrong.

I think the double slits experiment is key & applies not just to photons, when it comes to the power of observations, in a sense of giving meaning/a certain function to whatever is observed. In the end, photons are also key when it comes to the visual cortex. We need the light to see/observe. Could anyone ever do a similar test with tetrahedrons & notice if they behave differently when actively observed? Great video, thank you!

This makes perfect sense to me. It would explain why you see fractals everywhere while on LSD. No matter how closely you look, magnified or not, you see fractals and your brain isn't making it up. They're actually present. (Golden ratio) Also, explaining the "there is something greater" sensation while tripping... "Physics provides no upper limited on the energy or matter that can self organize into conscious systems." If you've had a "spiritual" experience on LSD this is going to make perfect sense. The "god" experience of LSD, the "globular universe", feels like it is expressed in varying degrees of consciousness amongst animals for the purpose of filtering environmental stimuli. Upon death, that consciousness feels like it may retract or return to the "globular universe". LSD is believed to break down the "conductor" of the brain and return the environmental stimuli an unfiltered state which why you see fractals, can immediately control your emotional state and don't experience time because LSD has halted your "conductor" so to speak. And that's essentially the LSD experience and how geometry factors into and seems like it supports it.

What they didn't mention in this video was that we do gather information to exist, that is true. But how do we get this? We use mainly our eyes and our ears to tell us what reality is. That means that our reality is a result of our perception of reality. We can use all different types of machines to see reality, like a microscope or telescope. But how we perceive this info is what is important. An Eskimo probably sees reality a lot different than a city dweller. Our eyes and our ears are influenced by our mindset. We all get totally different realities because we see things differently. We are a visual creature. What if we had to rely on our ears to tell us what reality was? Wouldn't that be a totally different reality?

I recall seeing this movie a few years back and I tried getting pics of all the geometric shapes, the 8 crystal and the images of the cubes' shadow angles which really confirms the cyclic nature of life and the deja vu experience! It's hard to differentiate or accept between what's being used by the salad for it to flourish; is it just vitamins and minerals evolving sequentially or is it conscientiously growing, as aware as we are??

It makes you feel quite oblivious to what's in front of you! What I wonder is if all cells/crystals/particles/ matter double/grow/change through its evolution and what we consciously think of manifests into being/reality/form then how does it present in its complete state and not in its infant state like the bacteria in the apple before it doubled and could take over and infest the apple? Yes we consiously think of it (lets say the apple or money) but wouldn't that mean that every apple or $1K I wanted and made conscious was fresh and germ free and the money ready to spend and how can I ensure that my conscious thought to manifest $10K in front of me actually happens, not the handful of $1 notes or grubby apple instead???

@LG Gaming exactly! And all living creatures have the notion of time. Animal, just like us, even without a watch or calendar, know when its " time for this, or time for that ". For wild animals, they mostly refer to the sun. As the days get longer and hotter, its "time" for reproduction for example. And when it gets shorter and colder, its " time" for harder days.. And just like us, the more of this cycle we get to live, the more we realize that one day, it will be our last summer or winter.. Time is the relation between the beginning of something and the end. Speed and time are different but in relation with one and other. Ex: a humming bird's wings flap seems to us so fu.kin fast, but to them its just normal and WE are the one that are slow from their point of view. That applies to everything.

It is very hard to confirm that the reality experienced by another is in any way like that of another except in small measure by comparing the observations of all the affected parties. But then their very interaction affects the observation.

@Infinity Drive Yeah, I thought so. You think "dimensions" means "other worlds within the same space we are in" which is where your confusion comes from. It's pretty common. When we don't understand something, our brains don't want to admit to us that we don't get it. Instead it tries to hammer the concept into a shape that it CAN grasp, even if that shape no longer resemble the metaphor we started with at all. "Dimensions" aren't "other worlds," rather, they are essentially, "directions," in THIS universe. It's quite challenging for us to imagine any dimensions other than those that are (or seem) "directly apparent" to us.

@Ad Delirium lol i cant beleive people are still commenting. Dimensions are just used to describe how anything takes up space. Once something takes up space, it will collide or move around/on it because nothing can go through each other like ghosts. For there to be another world within the same space we are in, would mean that we would be colliding with them in many ways constantly. It doesnt happen. It could happen in a Virtual reality, but even a virtual reality has its limits or ways of being tested. Also, nothing can go from point A to Point B without a path. This is why anything based on breaking such laws of physics is about as absurd as religion when Everyone attributes good events to God, when the reality is different.

Reality is just the interpretation we make of the translation, from our senses, of the electromagnetic waves that propagate through the Universe. Everything is resonance and our consciousness reads these waves and gives them meaning, creating a temporal reality. The limit of our reality is the limit of our perception. A blind person does not see colors. A sighted person does not see the ultra violet or infra red spectrum, but the electromagnetic waves are still there. It's all about perception skills!

I feel like I've seen something like the E8 lattice when i was younger, when I got into hallucinogens including DMT, mushrooms & lsd. Constantly changing, extremely colorful and infinitely complex patterns when i close my eyes. Commonly known as close eyed visuals (CEVs). There's something happening there, there's no way it's just hallucinations. Feel like this stuff certainly could have something to do with it.

I believe that this is why the universe keeps evolving it realizes it’s state it’s in and reacts to it it makes change which was consciously made which results in a most likely improvement. And then that improved state of reality is reacted to and changed again in an infinite loop.

The entire concept you explained was already written in 5000 year old Indian texts. It says- 1. We all are part of a self aware cosmic reality / super being. 2. This self aware universe (In Hindu terms- Shiva) is considered to be God. Don't take it in a religious way. Unlike western religions, Hinduism does not define god nor considers god as a separate being who is superior and takes care of us. In Hindu culture, we all are gods / part of god. It means that we all have consciousness which is part of the cosmic collective consciousness which is every where in the multiverse. So basically we all are part of this God/ cosmic consciousness. Personally I feel proud when I watch these videos and realize that the things that my grandma taught me when I was a kid are exactly the same things scientists are proving now a days by spending billions of dollars on research.

I got all of this through a quest for truth 20 years ago. I too see that every thing in the universe, including the universe itself is data. It only becomes information with consciousness to be informed by that data. I also see how to apply Fibonacci to time, once you quantify time as a relative spatial entity, like every second is about 18.5 miles long on earth. The conditions of the current second are a result of "choices", in the two prior seconds. Un=Un-1+Un-2, all the way back to the beginning of any and every thing. It's electric.

Well, this entire thing became quite philosophical quite soon. This idea that we live in a universe which is a simulation, reminds me of Non-dualism by Adi Shankaracharya (Indian Philosopher) his arguments for this are quite interesting to read
