It's crazy how its so rare to see current nba players give this guy praise...if anything all I see is disrespect
@09lowkey Πριν χρόνο
Giannis is a throwback to the time when players didn't change teams every 2 years and didn't grow up playing together, so they might have a professional relationship, but it wasn't all buddy-buddy like it is now where half the stars all came up playing AAU together.
@jsb1585 Πριν χρόνο
@water you could also say that it's hostility towards international players. Jokic gets the same treatment. I get the feeling that a lot of these guys are jealous that Giannis has accomplished what he has without the advantages of the American collegiate athletic system.

@kapers5772 Πριν χρόνο
You have to get Giannis in person at some point. You already had a bunch of his teammates (at least 6, former and current ) so there is a way to reach out. His story is crazy, he is funny and laid back and looking how he treats regular media I can see him being a great guest
@sarnyboi Πριν χρόνο
Yessir. I've been waiting for it. He's had Jrue, Pat, both lopez brothers, Kyle Korver, PJ Tucker, and dudley but no Giannis yet. Also Grayson Allen and Joe Ingles before they joined the Bucks, but still they have the connections to make it happen!
@kklovn9192 Πριν χρόνο
@@sarnyboi It's probably really hard to get Giannis. In the summer he spends much of his time abroad and in season it's probably not possible to get a interview with him in person unless you travel to Milwaukee. And even then it's probably tough with how dedicated he is to the game, recovery and his family.
@panagiotisantonakas9603 Πριν χρόνο
Dudes jj pod is successful cause players are put on a safe and familiar place where they can open their heart. The US players at least. I think Giannis would not feel as comfortable. I think it can only work if all jj manages to get all the brothers together. Then you will see Giannis open up.
@kersengebakje-agenor9918 Πριν χρόνο
Think Giannis isnt really the type of person to do many interviews. Others may see it as branding opportunity, or just as brothers helping eachother out. I personally dont see Giannis having much interest in that, he always lets his play on the court do the talking. I remember some story that he, as odd one out, didnt want to go do pick-up in LA with all the other pros because they could get a competitive advantage out of that. He is so laserfocused on the on-court stuff, rest seems to not have much meaning. Ofc this i just my personal opinion and i dont know him, but that would be my guess

@nicholasackerman5625 Πριν χρόνο
That's a good list
@sanjitsrinivasaiah860 Πριν χρόνο
He'll turn 28 the December, he isn't even at the peak of his prime, he's just entering it. 2-3 years down the line, he'll have mastered his jumpshot and have 50%+ on mid range, and 37%+ on 3-pt and a 80%+ on free throws. At which point he will literally have no weaknesses.
@kami4466 Πριν χρόνο
I think 34-35% from three is realistic for Giannis at his absolute peak. Not even players like Lebron or Luka shoot 37 % from 3.
@nicholasackerman5625 Πριν χρόνο
@@kami4466 yeah, 38% is when the word elite starts getting thrown around as a 3 point shooter. Throughout his career he'll probably have a few years around that number, but less because his shooting becomes god tier and more because of the space teams have to give him.
@iorilamia Πριν χρόνο

@Unriven Πριν χρόνο
It's truly amazing to see international players like Giannis, Embiid, Siakam and others coming to the US with barely any basketball experience, entering college or going straight to the pros, having an impact in the league early on and, in this instance, even achieving all-star & MVP status. Genetics and hard work can absolutely make up for lost time.
@boristheb1ad3x67 Πριν χρόνο
Luka learned much more playing euroleague than he could have in ncaa
@09lowkey Πριν χρόνο
The difference (imo) are international players come to the states with a solid fundamental skill set, their foundations are solid. They understand what it means to play team basketball, they have the basics of dribble, pass, & shoot. They understand how Defenses are 'supposed' to work. Now they might not be elite in any of these areas or know how to apply these skills at a high level but it's alot different when a player knows how to utilize the triple threat, how to pass out of the post, the importance of ball movement, etc etc. In contrast to kids in the USA who grow up learning how to do eurosteps and crossovers for the oohs and aahs before they can consistently finish with their off-hand. Simply put, international players grow up learning how to play organized basketball, not instagram/2k basketball.
@09lowkey Πριν χρόνο
@@boristheb1ad3x67 I agree, personally I think FIBA is the more authentic form of basketball. While NCAA is authentic compared to the NBA, it's not 'high-level' like FIBA. The NBA game is heavily influenced by $$$ & the politics of the game, that's why high level NCAA players can go overseas and have great careers, and you'll never hear about them.

I think when you look into Giannis upbringing and how rough he and his brothers had it being on the poverty line that instills a hunger, drive, and work ethic in you that can't really be taught and doesn't go away. It reminds me of Kobe and how for him growing up in Italy in isolation in a way shaped him into developing that mamba mentality. A lot of a persons upbringing shapes who they are and what their mentality is
@recoil53 Πριν χρόνο
He probably faced muggings as a kid too. Think about it - a kid at an illegal market, no citizenship, African. If the cops didn't shake them down, there were probably gangs that would try. That's just a guess, but that's the way life is around the world.

Also,the best personality among all off NBA superstars maybe ever. He's so geniunely humble. Is straight up weird how 100 % normal he is.
@recoil53 Πριν χρόνο
I think it's a combination of not growing up with the idea of basketball stardom and also being responsible for his family after his father died. To a degree he approaches basketball like a job more than living the life he always wanted. I'm not saying he doesn't love the sport, but he wasn't thinking of this since childhood. And once he got to the NBA and his father got sick, he had that bread winner role. Look at athletes who are responsible for their families and most more grounded.
@user-bo5bl4li5w Πριν χρόνο
I can't say that, even though i'm Greek. There have been many superstars with great, humble personalities. Tim is like the ultimate anti-star.

@ciaojay7025 Πριν χρόνο

@ekkokrunch Πριν χρόνο
I don't want to do this and bring it back, but let's look at the "highly skilled" James Harden's career against Giannis'. It was not about being almost 7ft and just dunking the ball. All along it was about the amount of work you are willing to put in, and how badly do you want it.
@dwoodstwin Πριν χρόνο
I don't know why some people can't accept that Giannis is not a finesse player. He's not slick. He's not pretty or cute. He's a physical force with an ironclad will. He's got way more Kobe and Michael in him than some of these dudes that say he can't play.
@ciaojay7025 Πριν χρόνο

Facts, that's why you can't believe the hype with lottery picks these days. It's not so much about what you coming into the league with, it's about how much you can develop that in the first several seasons in the league. Jimmy Butler is a perfect example, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves because he didn't come into the league with the fanfare, he just improved every season and went from riding the bench to All-NBA caliber. Meanwhile you have players like KAT & Tatum who had the fanfare but haven't expanded their game much since their rookie season.
@picassojulien899 Πριν χρόνο
@@09lowkey I agree with your Jimmy butler but no Tatum and kat. Tatum has become an exceptional playmaker in the last couple of seasons while also reducing his mid range and get to the basket and shooting the long ball better. Just needs to work on consistency. Kat has been a 20 and 10 guy since his second season. He’s a way better defender then he was in the last couple of seasons and he’s still one of the best offensive big men in the nba. Those two have definitely expanded their games since their rookie season

So many casuals confuse handles/shooting as the only “skills” in basketball when there are many skills and aspects to the game and Giannis is elite at all of them outside shooting (getting better and is 6’11” 250 so besides Durant Dirk Hakeem Garnett and few others none of the all time bigs 6’10” and taller are great shooters and we don’t hold it against them for being the top10 GOAT (Russell Kareem Wilt Duncan Shaq Giannis all elite all time greats and not better then avg shooters. The narrative that Giannis isn’t skilled is ridiculous. Dribbling the ball for 20 seconds and then shooting a step back 3 is one/two skills in the entire game lol (James Harden 🤦🏼‍♂️). Athletic 7 footers have happened and will continue to happen in the NBA but being big and athletic doesn’t guarantee you’ll be great. If it did, Deandre Jordan, Dwight Howard and Javale McGee would be talked about like Giannis. They’re probably as athletic if we talking sheer athleticism and power. Yet Giannis can literally dribble like a guard, lead the fast break on his own and or finish it, he can play in the post on offence, he can pass out of it. He can face up from the perimeter and get by anyone. On defence, he literally can guard all 5 positions. His perimeter D might even be the best we’ve ever seen from a guy his size, and obviously he protects the paint. You don’t become an MVP, FMVP, DPOY just coz you big lol. If you really think about it, the ONLY weakness to his game is his shooting. The rest of it is as elite as we’ve ever seen and he’s not really even in his prime prime. We all know he somehow still has the potential to get better even where he’s currently strong. So if you consider that shooting is his only weakness, then the idea he’s not skilled is so damn dumb. I mean, Kobe and MJ could say Harden got no skill coz he can’t play in the post like those 2 or move without the ball. The man has a far smaller skill set overall than Giannis haha and it’s not even close 😂

When you’re not from here, your mentality is different. It’s a hunger that us Americans don’t have. And it doesn’t take long to see the difference. Watch a few possessions of his games and then let me know what you think about my statement.

God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners. Sin is the nature of our flesh that we are born with due to the sin of Adam in the garden. For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless. We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23), and the the law demands death for those who sin (Romans 6:23). God is righteous, so He must punish our sin, which is what He did through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus is Holy and sinless, yet He received our sin when He died on the cross, so that we can be righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished” (John 19:30), which means He paid the full price for all of your sins (past, present, and future) to be forgiven. He was buried and rose again from the dead. God will forgive anybody who puts their full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds, but only by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). His precious blood that He shed is the only reason why we can be forgiven of our sins (Hebrews 9:22). If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!
